Samsung Galaxy S5 Unlock Code: Leak Came From The Inside

A new Samsung Galaxy S5 Unlock Code has been released and some are saying that the code was leaked by an insider. Whoever leaked it, they did a huge favor for those owning the S5 device.

While carrier offers a cheaper deal, the downside to it all is the phone is tied down and cannot be sold. However, with this unlock code, users will get to unlock and do whatever they want with the device.

Here is how to do it.

1. Slot in the new SIM that is from another carrier.
2. Restart the device.
3. Go to the dialpad and enter *#197328640#
4. Next, follow these steps. [1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3] Perso SHA256 OFF.
5. Wait for 30 seconds and select back to head back to the main menu
6. The main menu should now have a “Network lock” message. Select [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 should now be unlocked. This code has also been successful on other devices of Samsung so users could try it out but be fast. We do not know when it will be blocked.

T-Mobile becomes first American carrier to release phone SIM Unlocking App

One week after President Obama signed a phone-unlocking bill into law, T-Mobile has responded by becoming the first American carrier to launch its own unlocking app. Modestly titled Device Unlock, the app debuted on Friday in the Google Play store, though it comes with one major limitation: It only unlocks the Samsung Galaxy Avant, a lower-specced offering that launched in late July exclusively on T-Mobile.

The app offers two unlock options for Avant owners: temporary, for the sake of international GSM use, or permanent. Choosing either option sends a SIM unlock request to T-Mobile, as opposed to automatically unlocking. A glance at T-Mobile's unlock FAQ, which appears unchanged since before last week's bill was signed into law, clarifies that requested phones won't unlock unless they've been paid in full and haven't been reported stolen, among other requirements.

As such, the app merely streamlines a process that T-Mobile had already put into place well before a deadline of February 2015. Confusingly, Google Play advertises the app as compatible with any T-Mobile phone in a user's account, despite the app's current Avant-only status, which leads us to believe it will eventually support other T-Mobile handsets (seeing as it does little more than report a user's phone information to the unlock department). Until that changes, the app will probably continue to be bombed with the kinds of negative reviews it's already receiving from non-Avant users.

Legal to Unlock

Last week, Congress passed a bill legalizing cell phone unlocking — and this afternoon, President Obama signed that bill into law.

This effort began as a result of the petition you signed, "Make Unlocking Cell Phones Legal." Two weeks after the petition crossed the threshold, we laid out steps that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), industry, and Congress could take.

Your effort culminated in the Unlocking Consumer Choice and Wireless Competition Act that President Obama signed today. The bill not only restores the rights of consumers to unlock their phones, but ensures that they can receive help doing so if they lack the technological savvy to unlock on their own.

Activating and Flashing Devices with the 4G/LTE Sim Card

Pageplus doesnt utilize 4G/LTE network.  Since Pageplus offers 3G EVDO
service the SIM card in 4G/LTE phones isnt required. If you flash a 4G/LTE capable phone
without the SIM card you might get an annoying popup on the phone screen.  Remember, some phones
require settings that can change due to the SIM card being inserted or not, check each device for
more information.  Let us know your experience using the Helpdesk phone comment page.  Good luck!X
